Q1: Is this head unit specifically designed for the electric platform of the bZ4X? Will it affect my powertrain system?

Yes, it is a dedicated model developed specifically for the pure-electric architecture and cabin layout of the Toyota bZ4X (2022-2024 model years). It communicates with the vehicle via the original CAN bus in a read-only​ mode, solely retrieving vehicle data for display purposes. It absolutely does not send any control commands to the vehicle or access the high-voltage system, guaranteeing 100% that the safety of your car's powertrain system and the original factory warranty remain completely unaffected.
